This blog post is one that came by request. New followers on social media and people who were curious about our products reached out to ask questions about our company, our products and our mission. There’s nothing we love more than talking about those three topics!
Are you new to the world of herbs? Curious about Traditional Chinese Medicine? Stumbled here through a Google search? Welcome! We’re here to help.
Here’s a rundown of exactly what you need to know about ginseng and every single herbal ingredient we use in our products. Consider this your Tl;dr version of choosing herbal supplements for quality and potency. (That stands for “too long, didn’t read,” FYI!)
Who We Are
We’re NuTraditions, and we make herbal products that are convenient and high-tech yet rooted in tradition. We’re inspired by a rich family history in Traditional Chinese Medicine, the entrepreneurial spirit of our home state of California and a desire to help people live better.
For three generations, our founder Wilson Lu’s family has built a reputation for sourcing sustainable, high-quality traditional herbs that are extensively tested for safety and efficacy. Every NuTraditions herb can be traced back to a single origin — and all ingredients are sourced from the locations where they thrive.

TCM sees you as a complete, scaled-down version of the universe. (Remember that the next time you feel like you’re only one person or a little rundown!) The entire goal of this ancient, nuanced practice is to maintain/restore balance or equilibrium in your mind, body and spirit. Turns out, all that ancient wisdom is incredibly relevant to today’s busy, overscheduled, go-go-go world!

Our ginseng is a thick liquid herbal extract, which helps infuse the optimal amount of ginseng’s beneficial components into each cup.

Herbs Designed for Busy People
When it comes to herbal supplements, trust matters. That’s why we wanted to share a little more about our company, our values and our reason for being.
Our founder’s grandmother, Dr. Bing Yin Lee, earned her medical degree in 1935 and was one of California’s first licensed acupuncturists. Her herbal wisdom inspired NuTraditions – and everything we do strives to honor her legacy.
We believe in the power of herbs – and in the wisdom deeply rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine. But we also know that life is busier than ever, so our products effortless slide into your existing habits instead of becoming something else on your to-do list. We know you don’t have time for that. We also know that managing stress, fighting fatigue and getting a good night’s sleep are top priorities for you – but achieving those goals needs to be easy.
